ATR 72 Weights
« on: February 18, 2011, 10:20:21 AM »
Hi, looking at ATR's website, it appears that a couple of the weights are off in the current ATR performance file.

http://www.atraircraft.com/content/media/downloads/Fiche%20ATR%2072-500-2006.pdf

According to TopCat, Dry Operating Weight is 13,792 kg and maximum payload is 7,572 kg.  On ATR's site, Dry Operating Weight is 12,950 kg and maximum payload is 7,350 kg.  The other weight values match.

Thanks,

Stacey

A dry operating weight is a green airplane with no airline equipment, no liferafts, no catering, no crew, no crewbags, no nothing.

The OEW is a green airplane with all of the airline equipment added.

And, having significant dispatch experience on the ATR (ATR42s and 72s), the weight in topcat sounds about right.
