PFPX new feature request for advanced routing option
« on: July 22, 2014, 07:05:28 PM »
i would like to see an option in the advanced route finder to avoid certain airspaces or countries . in the light of recent tradgadies would be most realsitic to avoid flying over trouble hotspots in the world as do most real world carriers. this would be a very realsitic feature and handy as currantly i have to delete all the waypoints that fly over syria or ukraine etc etc and manually find a different routing..automated would be far better.
perhaps if this option was selected in the advanced option then there could be a submenu where you could select from a list of countries and or airspace regions that you want to exclude.

thanks kav

see this map of the worlds trouble hotspots

EDIT: Ive just discoverd this is already a feature in as much as excluding an airspce is already possible by typing it in to the box. sorry pfpx for not realizing that already
Pretty clever and handy

Until the recent airspace opening the KFOR closure over Kosovo was implemented by the 'Navigraph' data package. Not all data sources provided that.
