PMDG 737-800 NGX
« on: March 30, 2014, 10:55:30 AM »
Hi,

When I 'save' the W&B payload to the aircraft.cfg, Topcat fills the first 4 stations. But.. there are five stations in the W&B section of the aircraft.cfg.

The 'Aft Cargo' bay is never used.

ORIGINAL PMDG

[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
reference_datum_position     =  0.00, 0, 0.0
empty_weight_CG_position     = -5.51, 0, 0.2

max_number_of_stations = 50

station_load.0 = 4550.0, 16.1, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.0 = "For Cabin"
station_load.1 = 7000.0, -5.9, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.1 = "Mid Cabin"
station_load.2 = 4550.0, -28.1, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.2 = "Aft Cabin"
station_load.3 = 7200.0,  15.9, 0.0, 0.0
station_name.3 = "For Cargo"
station_load.4 = 7200.0, -26.4, 0.0, 0.0
station_name.4 = "Aft Cargo"

TOPCAT MIXED CLASS 95 pass 2304 lbs cargo
[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
reference_datum_position     =  0.00, 0, 0.0
empty_weight_CG_position     = -5.51, 0, 0.2

max_number_of_stations = 50

station_load.0 =1231, 16.1, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.0 = "For Cabin"
station_load.1 =15480, -5.9, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.1 = "Mid Cabin"
station_load.2 =1103, -28.1, 0.0, 2.0
station_name.2 = "Aft Cabin"
station_load.3 =1201,  15.9, 0.0, 0.0
station_name.3 = "For Cargo"
station_load.4 =0, -26.4, 0.0, 0.0
station_name.4 = "Aft Cargo"

Is there any reason for this?

Thanks,

Frank

The NGX Introductory document specifically warns against using external programs to adjust fuel/pax/cargo for their aircraft. PMDG uses their own loading methodology which differs from FSX, thus external programs may cause unwanted anomalies. You'll just have to manually transfer the data and upload via the FMC IAW their guidance.
