Hello,

The profiles for Airbus A321-211, 211 sharklets and A321-212 already exist.
Now PFPX becomes strong and stable, new profiles will be added including A319.

Best Regards
Pierre

Hi,

where can I download the A321 profile? It is not included with 2.73?!

By the way: we are both talking about TOPCAT NOT PFPX, right?  ;)

Best Regards

Oops!

So sorry, I was talking about PFPX.
You' re right, A319 - 321 aren't present in TOPCAT until now.
Some profile will be added in the future.

Cheers
Pierre

As has been said countless times in other threads on this subject

http://www.topcatsim.com/forum/index.php?topic=1077.msg7405#msg7405

The B777 is under developement.  HOWEVER, it is a very slow process.  What they do is digitize every chart in the manufacturers performance data that deal with takeoff, or landing, performance, and write a tailored data handler for each performance chart to use those charts numbers in the program.  SO the numbers that come out are about as close to manufacturer data as possible.  Here is a post I wrote in 2009 about the level of complexity that goes into any performance data file:

http://www.topcatsim.com/forum/index.php?topic=200.msg870#msg870

Do you have the required level of manufacturer data for the Q400?  I dont, and I have manufacturer performance data for nearly every turbine aircraft out there.  He cant write a profile unless he has the data.

It has been said ad nauseum, that electronic performance information for nearly all Airbus aircraft is woefully lacking.  The printed performance data is not nearly as extensive as the data that Boeing creates for their aircraft - as all the info that Christian needs to write a TOPCAT profile for Airbus is buried in the Airbus Performance Engineer Programs.  Also, with the Boeing 747-8, Boeing no longer publishes a Flight Planning and Performance Manual - all of their performance data is buried in the Boeing Performance Engineers Tool.

Christian doesnt write an aircraft profile to a given addon, he writes it using manufacturers data. Plus, unless you were unaware, he has been writing the PFPX Flight Planner - and thus, has been a little busy. Him and Judith are two people, and I know he has a full time job as an airline captain - writing TOPCAT and PFPX are at best a side gig - and not his full time professional job.

Youre just going to have to wait. Or, he can just come up with random numbers and call it a performance profile, and most people, without having access to the real world data, wouldnt know the difference.

Dear Jordan,

to complete what Doug said, and knowing a profile development for TOPCAT could takes around 10 weeks of huge work, your "request" need about 1 year for the 5 planes you "would".
This in the case of the team has all the data and one developer works only for YOU during this time.

Hope it is more clear for you.

Regards
Pierre

Any change of getting A319 and A321 (and maybe A318?) to TOPCAT. If you need help with this (meaning people to actually input the data) I could offer my assistance. I don't know how it is done but I am sure I have about 1h/day available for these birds to get the Takeoff and Landing calculations the TOPCAT has been providing for other aircrafts for so many years :).
