First step: Try to understand the PFPX aircraft profils.
Secound step: Search for some real performance data for your C172.
After both steps create your own aircraft performance file.

Hi Moritz,

thanks for reply.

That seems to be the only possibility at the moment until the developer delivers more aircrafts which will normally be airliners.

Generally i did not want to have that needless workload. I want to pay good money for good products where i can save time and workload. Originally i only want to fly and not generating any text files. ;)

Ok, had a look into your linked thread and see a lot of data in that text files and desrciption for only a few of the data. Is it done taking an existing aircraft text file and change some of that described values? And all the other values?
In your aerosoft thread answers i miss all the units.
Quote
15000 is the altitude.

4 is the time, when you reach this altitude.

84 is the fuelburn until this altitude.

13 is the distance.

Quote
1011is fuelflow

What unit for used fuel?
What unit for weights?

First of all i can not read out the folder where to find that txt files the thread is talking about. Where to find it? Using WinXP Pro 32Bit.

Kind regards

Hi Moritz,

i tried to do my first plane, do you have compact sources for aircraft performances instead of reading the whole FLM of each aircraft? Could you please have a closer look into my self made Cessna 172R and check if it is nearly ok?

Kind regards

Especially this section i am not fimilar with:

Quote
NAV=SBAS
COM=
DAT=

Quote
[DATA]
ISA-30;   3200
What stands 3200 for and what unit?

Quote
[HOLD]
  WGT; 2400
1500;   8.5
5000;   8.5
10000;   8.5
13500;   8.5
What stands 2400 for and what unit
Quote
StandardClimbMode=1
StandardCruiseMode=0
StandardDescentMode=0

AlternateClimbMode=0
AlternateCruiseMode=3
AlternateDescentMode=0

I try to understand what i do here knowing that this is only my upcoming A2A Cessna 172R, i need no dynamic profiles, that is overkill.

But the overall problem also inside PFPX for me is sometimes to know the unit in what some values or insertion fields have to be filled with. Inside PFPX a small infobox would do it when navigating over any insertion field.

In each file you see which unit it is. In your example it is KG.

Ok,

my pre setup is kg like below, that means all that meight have something to do with weight is in kg expect the default data setup section as i did it?

Quote
Units=KG

I think you answered the values for "WGT; 2400" which is aircrafts present weight in kg, right?

So the following is basic setup where i have to fill in both, kg and lb like i did it below?
Quote
[DEFAULT_DATA_KG]
DOW=771
MZFW=946
MTOW=1111
MRW=1115
MLW=1111
FuelCapacity=147
TaxiFuelPerMinute=0.3
APUBurnPerHour=0

[DEFAULT_DATA_LB]
DOW=1699
MZFW=2007
MTOW=2450
MRW=2457
MLW=2450
FuelCapacity=443
TaxiFuelPerMinute=0.8
APUBurnPerHour=0

Could you be so kind and give me a more extensive answer to my other quotes?

What means "HOLD", are fuel values also kg? Why is there no value better defined what to fill in for every entry?

It is not easy to know what unit was in developers mind while creating that txt files. I see it as an disadvantantage of the programm not to have a complete and clear defined description for creating airplanes. ;)

At Hold, Climb/Descent it is KG/hour or you change the unit to LB, then you have LB/hour.
Correct your WGTs are in KG.

Hi Moritz,

as long as there is no complete understandable instruction and we have to create aircrafts by our own i have additional questions to finally get ready my profile.

What exactly and what units means this?
Quote
StandardClimbMode=1
StandardCruiseMode=0
StandardDescentMode=0

AlternateClimbMode=0
AlternateCruiseMode=3
AlternateDescentMode=0

And exactly and what unit means this?
Quote
EngineAntiIce=0
TotalAntiIce=0

And exactly and what unit means this?
Quote
COM=
DAT=

And exactly and what unit means this?
Quote
PER=B

At this time please could you take care about that these are several questions which i hope to get all answered. I want to get my profile ready since three days.

Regards

What specific "A318" things gets calculated in the background while generating a auto route? Maybe some restrictions due to specific A318 things?

PFPX does not use any performance data from the aircraft file. It just uses the optimum cruise altitude and cruise speed. These values can easilybe adjusted as required. So you don't need to have an aircraf tconfigured for route finding.

Hi Christian,

glad to get answers since days of asking.

1.: What about a clear and complete instruction manual do create an airplane as long as PFPX delivers only some airliners?
2.: Please take a look into my questions about vague entrys within the txt file i enormous asked Moritz since page two?

Happy to get complete answers to enormous questions.

Kind regards

Thx, i just used that link as you linked it days ago.

Ok i give it up to get answered my defined and understandable questions. ::)

No further try to answer ALL my posts is necessary. I can not understand that such questions seems to be not read carefully by any support member. It is that time-consuming and unusual for me to see.

Kind regards.

Did you try to get your questions answered in the now official support forum over at Aerosoft http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/592-pfpx-professional-flight-planner-x/

You can't expect the support members to look frequently in other unofficial forums for support questions.

Please note, that the official PFPX Support Forum is at Aerosoft´s Forum: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/592-pfpx-professional-flight-planner-x/

As there are already many questions/answers, it would be very difficult to handle both Forums.

We´re of course still available via email, if you have Problems with PFPX

Thank you!"

Hi Judith,

i understand your point of view an read carefully that you posted to switch over to AS forum for further support. I already read the thread in AS forum, but if you also had read carefully all my posts here - i avoid AS forum due to Moderator supervision. Not every of my posts pass into public. Since a long time i generally avoid writing in the AS forums like others i know also do. Also i found no usable answers (how easy could it be to answer for the PFPX defelopers) in the AS forum to create my simple C172R file.

Also i feel generally better supported direct at developers forums.

It doesn´t matter, i try to find my support elswhere from users in flightsim forums and standing by maybe to get an clear and complete manual release "how to build airplanes in PFPX". It is too time intense, i lost too much time serching in the darkness for complete answers.

Kind regards

Hello,

I think it is a really good idea.
But Team has no free time (for the moment) to do what you need, You can can be sure this kind of document will be created soon.
